For my Yule card design this year, I’ve been inspired by a pictogram from the New Grange tomb in Ireland.
Literally at the heart of the great mound, this triple spiral is cut on into the back of one of the stones that forms the wall of the inner chamber – literally within the realm of the dead. It is only visible when the sky is clear at the winter solstice sunrise, when the chamber is illuminated.
I chose to cut this in a beach pebble.
