Just counting sheep

Last year, while I was still recovering, I started this piece as a present for my brother in law. It’s old cumbrian dialect for the numbers from one to twenty that is traditionally used to count sheep. He’s a sheep farmer, and studied in Cumbria, so has often used it.

He’s installed it at the top of his farm, next to the White Castle, and on the Offa’s Dyke Path (about here), so you might walk past it one day…
