It’s nice to be able to give something unique to mark the occasion. I usually try to get the date of birth on as well as the name.
These are on a variety of stones; from sea-washed slate, which is never easy to work on, to lovely Welsh black slate, a Portland pebble picked up from a beach in Dorset and even chunky marble ones on reclaimed marble from a Victorian bathroom.
